Sitting under tree watching people walking up and down path through park from Maritime Museum to Observatory. Toddlers have funny little legs that are disproportionally short for there bodies. Here i have drawn them like little adults but with closer observation I noticed the differences.

Greenwichpark4

Sitting on hill just under Observatory. How could resist the clouds when it looked like Turner himself had arranged them!

Greenwichpark6

Back to people watching. Sitting inside Maritime museum watching people out of widow. (feeling a bit self-conscious)

Greenwichpark7

Standing by path leading from Maritime Museum to Observatory looking up tree lined avenue. People fade into blue as they get more distant and shadow covered. green lights and shadows play in the sunlight.

Back home the next ay.. Drawing from the paper. Prefer the ones from life in the park. Where much more fun to do. It’s a relaxing way to draw being out and about. Not getting caught up in trying to be so accurate. Just capturing an impression of the scene.

news2

Prince George from paper – Though it would be good to get some baby drawing practise. They have cartoonish heads and faces.
