Perspective Revision

After the 3 drawings exercise I released the perspective work i had done in the landscape section had not properly sunken in. So I took the time for a little revision. It’s really important to be strong in this area if you want to draw in a representational way as I do. Even with figure drawing if you imagine the body a building blocks you need to be aware of perspective and always make a mental note of the eye level.

I uses the exercise as a chance to start incorporating a little bit of water colour to the drawings. here I test out some of the mediums capabilities and possibilities.

This doodling arose from bad perspective in the three drawings exercise. It spurred a bit of more considered research in the next two drawings

One point perspective. This will be relevant when foreshortening limbs that come towards the drawer.

2 point and 3 point perspective. If we think of drawing a figure from a three quarter angle 2 point perspective applies. Look up or down on a figure from a close distance would put the figure into 3 point perspective.
