Pr3 Gesture: Check and Log

How well have you managed to capture the pose? what could be improved.

The gesture drawings I made in life class where mixed. I think they all captured the pose. I particularly like the pastel orange, red and brown drawings. Made in a scribbly fashion some with the wrong hand. They have the most energy and direction. The page of four grey felt tip drawings are pretty awful and not really gestures as they have no energy at all.

Do you think the figures balance, if not where did you go wrong?

I think I got the balance ok. It is certainly improving with all the figure drawing I’m doing.

How did you go about conveying a sense of energy?

Unhappy with the class drawings I made an inquiry into gesture drawing. Some of the drawings resulting from this have more energy. This will be an ongoing investigation as I have a strong interest in this direction. I am not there yet but improvements can be seen. Next step to try what I’v learnt in life class.
