Pr2-Ex 1: Line Drawing in Detail

I really enjoy line drawing. It’s relaxing to do and the results are oftern effective. Here I chose some select flowers form an arrangement. It was nice to follow the lines with my eyes, really explore the shapes.

About Emma Perring

I am an artist working in mainly soft pastel at present.

  1. Absolutely love this, Emma. The two colours work brilliantly and create depth… hard to do in a pure line drawing. The drawing itself is beautiful, too. Thanks for ‘following’ me here – looking forward to having a good look ’round your blog. 🙂

    • Thanks Mags,
We appear to be in about the same place on the course so I’ll be keeping an eye on your blog too. Seems like such a long way to the end! Are you intending to do a full degree?

      • That’s the plan, Emma, although I think time will be one of the deciding factors. I do find that everything takes far longer than the college seems to anticipate… although I could just be slow! That said, I am learning, which is all I wanted from the course. As long as that continues, I’ll do my best to carry on. Are you planning to do the degree?

      • Hi Mags,
Yes, I too am planing on a degree. I want to do painting and print making in the future. I know what you mean about things taking longer than you think. I know I am a slow worker! But I think for any one it would be time consuming. Things are a bit bizzy for me at the mo so must be strict with myself to do some OCA stuff in the evenings. Finally finished the stippling I’v been putting off.
