I used felt tips and colouring pencils to explore the relationship between the primary colours. Seeing if mixing them by layering one over the other would make the corresponding secondary colours appear. Some interesting, and even op art effects made with the felts. Like to explore these effects further.

Using pastels I looked at analogue colour relationships and tints. The pastels are easier to mix together than the felts and colouring pencils. They are smudgable so lines between them can be diffused and colours/values/tones can seamlessly blend.
